At a busy road junction in modern Brockley once stood the demesne farm of a medieval manor, and before that a short lived house of Premonstratensian canons whose memory lingered in fields, tiles and coins long after the buildings had gone.

How the Brockley Cross Action Group began

Founded in 2000, the Brockley Cross Action Group turned railway land beside Brockley station into community gardens and led projects across the surrounding streets.

Stone House on Lewisham Way

Built in the early 1770s on Loampit Hill, Stone House is one of the oldest surviving houses in the Brockley–Deptford area, preserving an eighteenth-century villa in a landscape later transformed by suburban growth.
